Day 11

Yes this photo is from the night before.  It made me so happy because the guy in the photo is Emmet Skilton.  He plays Axl in the New Zealand TV show The Almighty Johnsons.  It is one of my favourite  shows (unfortunately it has been cancelled).  I never thought I would meet someone from one of my favourites shows in the city where I live.

Something different

Hi Guys,

I know that I have fallen so far behind, and for that I am sorry, but I am about to catch up :).  So here goes.

Day 10

This was an amazing night, with great friends :).  One of my flatmates organised a ball, so I got a couple of friends together and made them come with me.  We had such a great night doing something different.  The atmosphere was great, the people were lovely, so overall it was a night I won't forget anytime soon.

Best version of ourselves

Day 9

Today's picture makes me happy because it sums up why I am doing this 31 days of happiness photo thing.  Just enjoying the small things and what you have, rather than always wanting the next best and bigger thing.

Sometimes I do forget to do this, but then again I am human.  I am not claiming that I am perfect, but rather that I want to try and enjoy my life rather than try and copy someone else's life.  We all have demons.  As the quote goes - "I would rather be the best version of me, than a second rate version of someone else."

Not perfect, but enjoying what I can

Today's photo is the grade I got for an assignment that I thought I wasn't going to do very well in, but it turns out I got 100%, the first time I have got that at uni. 

Being happy doesn't mean you're perfect. It just means you've decided to look beyond the imperfections.  I decided to concentrate on the good and be happy about that :)

Treat Days

Hi Guys

Day 7 I know its late and I am sorry, but you know how things get :)

Yes it is another food post :), but this one is about allowing yourself to have little treat days, and not hating your self for it.  As you can see I had a burger and chips, and this made me happy as this place does the best burgers in my area, because they don't taste as bad for you like other fast food places.

So allow yourself to enjoy the simple things, like a good burger :)

Food and family

Hi Guys,

Day 5, I know its late, but I am trying my best :)

Today was all about home cooking, and the memories of being at home with the family, enjoying the company, the laughing, and just being able to relax with the people that you love.  Days like today, make me miss being at home with family, when I am sick, and being able to curl up on the couch and knowing that there is someone there to look after me.

Anyway that was what made me happy today, what made you happy?

Day 5, yay.  Today was all about getting stuff done, and how much better you feel when you are able to cross something off your list.

May is a busy month for me, so if I am even able to cross one thing off my list, I instantly feel better :)

Favourite movies

Hi Guys,

Day 4, today's photo is all about spending afternoons, just relaxing watching your favourite movie. Which in my case is Pitch Perfect, and yes we were singing along.  Actually we have watched this movie so many times, we know most of the words too.

Sometimes you just need to take a break from life, enjoy a movie and have a sing-a-long.
